Welcome to Parade Kids where’s there’s something for the your PCA Enthusiasts!
Activities will mirror the adult activities, only at a junior level. There’s a Kids Concours d’Elegance, Autocross and Tech Quiz, with kids winning trophies just like the adults. And they’ll have a chance to make lifelong friendships with PCA kids from all over North America!
With so many things to do at La Quinta Resort, all kids and juniors under 18 are welcome to join. Activities are designed to be age appropriate, so little kids, big kids, and even teenagers will each have their own activities.
Each entrant will receive a Kids Parade T-Shirt (designed by a Parade Kid from last year) and a goodie bag (also designed by a Parade Kid from last year) filled with fun surprises. All participating Parade Kids will also receive a Parade medal.
Events and activities are designed for families to do together. Parade Kids provides childcare Tuesday and Saturday evenings only. Other activities are designed to have parents join their kids
Registration is part of Phase ll, beginning on March 28.
Parents and Grandparents, don’t forget to volunteer at one or more events.
Parade Kids Schedule
Parade Kids at the Pirelli Welcome Party: (Sunday, June 21) Stop by the Parade Kids Table at the Pirelli Welcome Party, where you will be able to keep your kids entertained while waiting for dinner to be served.
Miniature Car Concours: (Monday, June 22) The Tradition continues! Every kid (0-17 years) will paint a wooden toy car and enter it in the Parade Kids Concours d’Elegance. The adults will judge the cars, with trophies being awarded in three age categories (little kids, big kids, teens).
Hagerty Youth Judging Program: (Monday) Representatives from Hagerty Classic Cars will give the kids a short class in how to be a Concours judge, and then take the kids onto the Concours field where they will judge a selection of the adult entrant cars. The kids will then award trophies.
Little People’s Choice Concours Award: (Monday) The kids vote for their favorite adult Concours car and a trophy is given to that lucky car owner!
Make and Take Crafts: We make fun projects together and they are yours to keep! Stop in and see what surprises we have in store this year!
RC Cars: (Tuesday June 22 & Wednesday, June 24) Who doesn’t love remote control cars? Bring your own or borrow ours! Times will be listed to practice on the track and we have a competition later in the week with awards given in each age group. More info on the "RC Cars" tab under “Competitive Activities"
Ice Cream Social: (Tuesday, June 22) This is for everyone 1-100 years old. Come build your own sundae!
Kids Camp/Childcare: (Tuesday) During the Concours Banquet on Tuesday evening, we will again be offering childcare, which includes age-appropriate games and activities, movies and a kid-friendly meal. Childcare is offered exclusively for parents attending the Concours d’Elegance Banquet for children 18 months – 12 years.
Parade Kids at the Porsche Design TSD Rally Party: (Wednesday) Stop by the Parade Kids Table at the Mobil1 Rally Party, where we will have a few special things to see and do – just for kids!
Michelin AnyCross Competition: (Thursday, June 25) A track is set up and the kids run it using anything that rolls – scooters, bikes, trikes, skateboards, rollerblades. Even parents pushing strollers are welcome. Trophies are awarded in each age group.
Family Fun Night: (Thursday) Come and enjoy an evening of family fun! We are still working on the details of this year’s Family Fun Night, but it’s always a good time.
Kids Tech Quiz: (Friday, June 26) Similar to the Adult Quiz, but at a junior level. Trophies are awarded in each age group.
Parade Kids at the Michelin Autocross & Parade Kids Recognition Dinner: (Friday) This banquet is the Kids big night! They'll be welcomed on stage to be recognized for their achievements during the week. Parents – get your cameras ready! In addition, stop by the Parade Kids Table for a little pre-banquet fun!
5K Walk/Run: (Saturday, June 27) Kid friendly events for kids to do with their parents. See more at the event tab under “Competitive Events"

The T-Shirt and Tote Design Contest: All kids are invited to design their favorite Parade picture. Who knows, it might be selected for use as the T-Shirt and Tote bag art for the French Lick, Indiana Parade in 2021)
