The 2020 5k Run/Walk will take place Saturday morning, June 27 along the beautiful La Quinta Mountain Golf Course golf cart path, which is breath-taking, to say the least. It’s a loop course that is relatively flat, with a few rolling hills.
Due to the desert heat and commitments of the golf course, we’ll begin at 6:30am. You should plan on being at the Start Line by 6:00am for race day check-in.
Classes will be by gender and age. They are 6-9, 10-13, 14-17, 18-21, 22-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Trophies will be awarded for best Men's and Women's times, plus medals for the best Class times. Walkers will be more casual and not be timed.
Sign up for this event takes place during Phase ll registration. Please remember to include your age, gender, and T Shirt size when registering for the 5K Run/Walk.
Parade Kids entrants are invited to join us, too. Anyone under 12 participating in this event must be accompanied by their parent or Parade-registered adult.
All participants will receive a T-shirt and runner number. Water and a snack will be provided at the Finish Line.
T-shirts, numbers, and course directions will be provided at Parade Check-In on Sunday June 21st from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
